Heike Stuckstedde, working under the label ATARA, is a German artist based in Vienna. She creates two- and three-dimensional light sculptures and site-related installations at the intersection of art and architecture.
Drawing on her studies of art history and interior architecture, she explores light as an independent, immaterial material. Fibre optics integrated into diverse materials create luminous structures that range from precise lines to diffuse, organic forms.
Her work focuses on the interplay of light, material and space, transforming environments through atmosphere, translucency and perception. With her poetic approach, ATARA creates new connections between people, space and nature.
