With my two sculptures The Missing Piece (2013) and Fingerprint VI (2019), I am delighted to be part of the fourteenth edition of the Blickachsen sculpture biennial , which will be on display in the Kurpark and Schlosspark in Bad Homburg from 18 May to 5 October 2025.

The opening of the Blickachsen 14 exhibition will take place on Sunday, 18 May at 11.30 a.m. on the Schmuckplatz in the Kurpark Bad Homburg.

The series began in 1997 with an exhibition in Bad Homburg's Kurpark, the concept of which - also in a figurative sense - took up the park's garden-architectural visual axes.

Every two years since then, the exhibitions have focussed on the interplay between contemporary art and the natural surroundings of historical landscape gardens. And each time - and this is also part of the programme - young up-and-coming talents are represented together with renowned sculptors. The curatorial collaboration with changing partner museums always guarantees new impulses - and Blickachen 14 will once again provide a diverse outdoor art experience.

About Blickachsen

Every two years from May to October, ‘Blickachsen’ presents contemporary sculptures and site-specific installations by international artists in the historic parks in the centre of Bad Homburg vor der Höhe as well as at other locations in the Rhine-Main region.

The title of this unique series of exhibitions is inspired by the ‘visual axes’ created by Peter Joseph Lenné in the garden architecture of Bad Homburg's Kurpark in the mid-19th century.

Each new exhibition offers new perspectives on the works themselves and on the landscape and architectural context through the careful placement of contemporary works of the most diverse character in the historical surroundings.

This experience of changing perspectives is the leitmotif of the successful exhibition concept.
