Porcelain is generally perceived as a material steeped in tradition. However, from a historical perspective, it is of a more recent nature compared to wood or stone. Strictly speaking, it is still in the development phase. This circumstance offers me as an artist a wide field of independent development possibilities. Everyone is familiar with the fact that porcelain is used to make cups, plates and knick-knacks, but what else does the material have to offer? What is in it and wants to be extracted? To find out, I benefit from my wealth of experience as a craftsman on the one hand and my open-mindedness towards new things on the other. Every single piece that passes through my hands is both a challenge and an experiment.
