Voorhout Monumentaal 2025
From May 10 through August 17, 2025, the Lange Voorhout in The Hague once again turns into an impressive open-air museum. For the third time Pulchri Studio organizes the exhibitionÂ
exhibition Voorhout Monumentaal, where monumental sculptures and installations can be seen on the shell path. The theme of this edition is “Celebrate Imagination” - an ode to the power of art to inspire, connect and open new perspectives.
Participating artists are Carolien Adriaansche, Aris de Bakker, Margriet Barends, Ivan Cremer, Klaas Gubbels, Eppe de Haan, Jeroen Henneman, Karien Kortenhorst, Andre van Lier, Rinus Roelofs, Rüdiger Seidt, Jan Snoeck, Ronald Westerhuis, Eelke van Willegen, Niko de Wit and Rob Zweerman. Their works are given a place on the characteristic shell path in the middle of the bustling Museum Quarter.
For the first time Pulchri Studio enters into a collaboration with West, which will be housed in aÂ
specially designed pavilion next to the exhibition and program. This pavilion, of which the floor is designed by the famous Surinamese artist Marcel Pinas, also functions at the same time as an information point, where visitors can obtain brochures and background information about the artworks and artists.
In addition for the first time, we also have a collaboration with BlowUp Art The Hague.Â
This art project, a production of BinnenhofBuiten, a project of The Hague & Partners, focuses on large-scale and temporary installations and is an exciting addition to the exhibition.Â
Whereas the sculptures will remain on view throughout the summer, BlowUp Art will only be part of the exhibition for one month. Five monumental objects will be added to the sculptures of Voorhout Monumentaal, including a spectacular installation by Kiki & Joost that appears to be
as it were, landing out of the facade of Pulchri Studio. In addition John Körmeling, Fransje Killaars, Eugenie Boon and, artist member of Pulchri Studio, Piet Warffemius contribute to these temporary interventions in public space.
With these new collaborations and the combination of permanent and temporary artworks, Voorhout Monumental 2025 promises to be a special edition in which the city, theÂ
art and the public come together in an innovative way.
