AK47 Cross

5-meter crucifix sculpture is made from 42 Kalashnikov rifles, the most common of all automatic weapons. It is an outcry against the perversion of the original meaning of the Christian Cross as a symbol of peace and salvation.

In memory and a  big thank you to my dear friend and welder  Goren Reasch / Berlin,  who past away this past year.
This project could never come to fruition with out his enthusiastic support,  conviction to my vision and a  “can do”  gentleman  that I was honored to work with. And to the many, many artist assistants and friends who have help set up, take down and transport this massive, heavy piece city to city.  It is brutal work and with out all their help we would have never had made the scene in so many cities.
