la fabbrica

Two dark, heavy objects are suspended above sparse constructions, leaning threateningly toward the observer. The structure however is unbalanced.
It consists of thin, irregularly formed materials, as if it grew, rather than was constructed , and seems to be collapsing under its own weight.
The two objects sag and because of that suggestion of vulnerability, it undergoes a change.
An opening displays the insides, as if it is a large organ.
A sense of decay permeates the entire object.

La FĂ bbrica was inspired by the image of a deserted factory lot that I saw in a flash during a trip. In that split second, that abandoned factory site was transformed into a dream world, inhabited by abandoned, lonely creatures, waiting for the final collapse of the structure where they had once worked, and where they had once found the reason for their existence.
