Zeit der Furcht, Zeit der Klarheit

The installation, made of olive wood on a sandstone and plaster base, draws our attention to the moment when the climate crisis shifts from an abstract scenario to a concrete reality. Between a fragile balance of threat and hope: is there still time to turn back?

Olive wood symbolizes peace, stability, and the possibility of a new beginning. Its Andalusian origin points to the threat of heat and fire. The openwork, hollowed-out sections on the back reveal the wounds of the living earth. The curved body can also be interpreted as the exponential progression of global warming. The tense forward thrust is an act of uprightness in which fear is transformed into determination. The base, wrapped in plaster bandages, refers to layers of geological history that perhaps promise healing.

Time for clarity: In the tension between organic elegance and eroded surfaces, the artwork formulates a quiet but unmistakable demand for consistent action. A space opens up in which concern can give rise to responsibility.
