Angel Aymelek

The Turkish Moon Angel
Considered an admirable queen born from the light, and aligned with the idea of success, nobility and moral superiority. She was seen as a spiritual being, believed to be a mediator between God and mortals, she was an assistant to man yet prone to violence when provoked. Associated with the of cycles and rhythms of the universe, she was thought to exert a considerable degree of influence over our fate, with the power of rebirth and authority over the land to which souls ascend. Although comparatively rare, Lunar deities are often seen as benevolent female spirits with affect over the tides, seasons and propagation.
