My works are inspired by nature. By tightening the surfaces and emphasizing exact edges, clarity is created. Flowing forms capture movement. The objects move away greatly from the figurative and reduce to an essential statement. They express sensations, emotions, relationships or states. My goal is to get to the core of the essence and to expose it. The best way for me to immerse myself in an idea is to work with stone. The development of my previously sketched thoughts is taken place in the direct confrontation with the material. Thereby the examination of the form - volume, balance, tension, relationship of the surfaces to each other - is an essential aspect. I prefer to work with stones or woods from the surrounding area.
