‘’I want to connect people through sculpture’’. Hartmut Stielow

Although he uses the hardest and heaviest materials for his sculptures, steel and stone, Hartmut Stielow (b. 1957 in Benthe, Germany) manages to strike a balance between opposites.

However, he not only creates a connection and relationship with different materials, but also between people. More then twenty years ago, together with the collector Ralf Kirberg, Hartmut Stielow founded Sculpture Network as a forum connecting everyone who has a passion for sculpture, such as artists, art professionals, collectors, and sculpture lovers in Europe and beyond.

Today, we celebrate all the international contacts, art, and friendships that have arisen from this. Sculpture Network is more than a network. It is a community of kindred spirits!
And with you! We look forward to hearing about your experiences with Sculpture Network.

In collaboration with:

  • Anne Berk, new Chairperson of Sculpture Network, curator, author, art educator, Netherlands
  • Anemone Vostell, cultural manager and founder of BAM! Berlin Art Management – Art Projects and Consulting, and Sculpture Network Board Member and Coordinator for Berlin North-East, Germany
