Dialogue near Bern: Schlössli Rubigen & Sculpture Park

As part of the international Dialogue format by Sculpture Network, our Coordinator Stefanie Krome invites participants to a special gathering at the sculpture park of Housi Knecht near Bern. Surrounded by striking steel sculptures, water objects, and the natural landscape, an open space for conversations about art, materiality, and perception emerges.

Swiss artist Housi Knecht will personally guide visitors through the publicly accessible park and provide insights into his artistic practice, shaped by movement, light, surface, and sound. The Dialogue offers the opportunity not only to view art, but to experience it collectively and engage in meaningful exchange — in a relaxed atmosphere and in direct conversation with artists and fellow art enthusiasts.

Programme

11:00 – Welcome at the Sculpture Park
Arrival of participants and introduction to Sculpture Network’s international Dialogue format and the unique setting of the event.

11:15 – Apéro and informal exchange
A small reception in the park with the opportunity to meet and engage in first conversations with guests, artists, and art enthusiasts.

11:30 – Guided tour with Housi Knecht
The artist personally guides participants through the sculpture park and speaks about selected works, his practice with steel and stainless steel, and the relationship between sculpture, water, light, and movement.

12:15 – Artist talk
A short reflection on materiality, public art, and artistic dialogue in the dynamic relationship between nature and sculpture.

12:30 – Open Dialogue round
Collective exchange within the framework of the Sculpture Network Dialogue. Participants are invited to share thoughts, questions, and personal perspectives.

approx. 13:15 – Sweet finale in the park
A relaxed closing moment with sweet treats and further conversations among the sculptures.

14:00 – End of the event

Participation fee: 15,00 CHF
Sculpture Network members: 10,00 CHF

Payment is to be made in cash on the spot.
