Vent de Fora Exhibition
We come from the earth and we go to the sea. Based on the term "vent de fora" used by fishermen from the Valencian region of El Perellonet (Spain), the exhibition reflects on the fleeting nature of the life cycle — on what happens when our body, which is born in the sand like a seed, turns into dust and ultimately becomes a molecule of the sea.
Susana Botana reveals to us an organic creative process, shaping sculptures with her hands out of stone, wood, natural fiber, or ceramics — giving form to ideas through her handwork.
Vent de Fora is an exhibition that reflects on the fleeting nature of the life cycle, drawing inspiration from a term used by the fishermen in El Perellonet, Valencia. The core idea is that we come from the earth and return to the sea: a body born in the sand like a seed becomes dust and, finally, a molecule in the sea.Â
Susana Botana presents an organic creative process that takes form in sculptures made of stone, wood and natural fibers - a reflection of how her hands give shape to profound and evocative ideas.Â
