Museology, art and storytelling at the MVM

On the occasion of International Museum Day 2025, the Vostell Malpartida Museum is joining the celebration promoted by ICOM under the slogan:

‘The future of museums in changing communities’,

reaffirming the fundamental role of museums in the inclusion, accessibility and empowerment of citizens.

To this end, we have prepared a special programme of events over three days:

Sunday 18 May, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Open day and guided tours.

Tuesday 20 May, at 9:30 am and 11:00 am.

Show for school groups:

‘Stories around the fire’, with Cameroonian storyteller Samuel Mountoumnjou,

with the participation of students from the Los Arcos and Dulce Chacón primary schools.

Thursday 22 May, at 8.30pm.

Conference: ‘UNIQUE. MUSEUMS OF THE SENSES’,

by Dr Pilar Barraca de Ramos, Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Culture,

organised by the Friends of the Vostell Malpartida Museum Association.
