Postprism

Gočár's gallery in Automatic mills

20 April – 14 July 2024

The Postprizma exhibition presents the work of artists from Central Europe who reflect the present and anticipate the possibilities of the future direction of society. Through paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, photographs and multimedia creations, visitors will have the opportunity to get to know the rich spectrum of current artistic practice.

The exhibited works are a dialogue between the past, the present and the future, through them the viewer will have the opportunity to experience the adventure of thinking about the world and himself.

The exhibiting artists are ready to confront the viewer with themes that arise with an unexpected new urgency, while their essential foundation is a fixed part of thinking about the meaning of human existence.

This exhibition project is the result of a long-term collaboration between curators, theorists and artists, opening a space for viewers to have an intensive encounter with visual art, which co-formed and co-forms, influenced and influences social discourse.

The exhibited works are not only a traditionally critical accent on complex social relations, they are an invitation to an empathetic perception of new temporal-existential contexts.

Postprism is a visual platform of discovery and interpretation, showing art as a sensitive medium capable of anticipating changes and reflecting the ideas of the times.
