Experience the direct exchange between collection expert Jana Noritsch and sculptor Wolfgang Nestler in his Berlin studio!

To mark the 80th birthday of the sculptor, art professor and mediator Wolfgang Nestler (*8.9.43), who primarily works with metal, the exhibition HANDGEHABT presents a selection of 16 significant works from the late 1960s to the present day, curated by Swiss art historian Roland Scotti.

The works, which are the result of a participatory approach, will be shown in two locations: the Kunstraum Krüger and the artist's Berlin studio.

The dialogue-based guided tour with collection expert, critic and author Jana Noritsch starts in the Kunstraum Krüger, leads to the nearby studio and back, culminating in an open exchange followed by the Sculpture Network showroom.

"Nestler's works are hardly aimed at an organising consciousness, but rather at the sensitive body, the indispensable vessel of all ideas, all emotions, all physical and psychological reactions - the carrier of every action that does not despair in self-centredness.
The metals, woods, materialised prompts, the lines, segments of circles, cubes, pyramids, stereometric orientation signs, not only tell of an artist's life, but also develop a narrative, or rather a choreography, of togetherness and togetherness over at least six decades: community in motion."
