Sara Nabil's works move between visionary dream and real nightmare. In times of the Taliban's seizure of power, the rights of Afghan women are once again in danger and a hard-fought commodity for the preservation of their social participation. In her immersive, multimedia spatial installations, the Afghan-born artist combines themes of (in)freedom, dream, and identity - always with the claim to stand up for equal rights for women.

For the exhibition at Kunsthalle Mannheim, Sara Nabil conceives a new performance project and an interactive spatial installation.
