L’ Andart 21

The art pieces on display at Andorra’s fourth International biennial L’Andart (ALA) will seek to respond to the question ‘What would happen if we had to confine ourselves to the mountains?’ A hot topic at the moment on account of COVID-19, which is affecting our species across the globe.

The aim is to offer visitors a multi-faceted perspective from various disciplines, looking at the changes that the fear and uncertainty of the pandemic have brought about in our day-to-day lives. For many, nature is an alternative route, but we need to rediscover and change the way we interact with it.

The works at L’Andart 21 aim to give visitors the opportunity to reflect, either by highlighting the value of nature as a source of health or through critical proposals showing the burden that humanity generates on fragile natural ecosystems. Concepts such as solidarity, loneliness and isolation will also give visitors cause for reflection.
