traces of the past
In this exhibition Gabriela Nepo-Stieldorf deals with the traces of her childhood in Hall/ Tyrol and researches about former traditions as a base for the here and now. She works with clay, stone and plexi glass, creates installations and body wrapings, which communicate between the inside and outside, ourselves and the others, the past and the now. The artist reflects her bodies of landscape on historical places and activates the thoughts about bordercrossing and strategies of retreat. Her ambigous objects and fragil figures spread out in the two rooms of knights, the court and in the tower of the museum.
Works in clay, plexiglas and metal are playing with the old historical place, the social and familial influences and  the search of individuality and autentity in general.Â
