Xu Bing - Dragonfly Eyes

Xu Bing’s exhibition “Dragonfly Eyes” is the first “Sculpture 21^st” presentation on the subject of “Postdigital”. “Postdigital” is supported by the Stiftung Kunst, Kultur und Soziales of the Sparda-Bank West.

With amazing inventiveness, Xu Bing develops a new visual language for the digital age, in which real events from China’s everyday life coalesce into an overriding narrative. He set up a live stream surveillance centre in the great Glass Hall of the Lehmbruck Museum, where 25 laptops simultaneously recorded the real life scenes from which he compiled his film.
