Working also as an Alexander teacher, I am drawn as a sculptor to the theme of our-selves, the landscape of our physicality. I try to find expression of our fragility, tenderness, resilience and strength through carving stone and wood. More surreal combinations of materials with opposing qualities may convey pain, vulnerability and hope.
This hanging piece is an expression of the fear of illness, the joy of survival and alifeness. It is about vulnerability, protection, recovery and loss. It is made with lead and silks.
