INNER SPACE 2

This collection of work extends the theme ‘Conversations with my Father’. The title is ironic in that such conversations as there were, could be described as perfunctory and inconsequential. He was a craftsman who learned to ‘make do’ during the great depression, utilising anything and everything including pieces of wood that remained in his workshop for decades. He never spoke about his life during the depression or WW2 and never asked what I was doing as an artist. The three iterations of Conversations as paintings, drawings and sculptures attempted to bridge that gap after he died in 2020.
