Just as the Ark marked a return to an originary point, so does Meta-Ark mark new beginnings, aleatory points from where the unwanted stranger steps forth. Meta Ark's divergent reflections capture and disrupt, sparking unexpected new constellations. Fabricated in the manner of a tent, with fabric stretched over fibreglass rods, Meta-Ark is a vessel that longs to return to the landscape. Mounted upon a portable jetty, it yearns to roam the streets, traversing paths both imagined and real. Meta-Ark floats on its portable jetty like the unwelcome stranger that comes today and stays tomorrow. Meta-Ark is an unruly stranger whose imagination, like the outcast artist, roves without order. Meta-Ark is an expedition to new centres that linger like mirages on the breeze. Meta Arc's journeys actualise other dimensions, virtual worlds, and chance encounters in an assemblage of wayward walks that redraw the city. Meta Ark appeared at the SSG solo exhibition, Is the Fake Real? Envisaged in 2023 as a central element in a performative project that would walk through the streets connecting the city's diverse cultural background, the project, two years in the making, still awaits an appearance on the city streets.
