Site specific art.
Plastic 734* is a site-specific work I made especially for Voorhout Monumentaal from red, orange and pink plastic waste. All the material used comes from The Hague. As much as 75% of it I collected in the first months of 2025**, the remaining 25% comes from my studio stock.
The choice of colour forms a powerful contrast to the green of the surrounding trees.
Plastic is both a symptom and a symbol of our consumer society.
It is cheap, ubiquitous and often thoughtlessly discarded.
With my work, I make an appeal: buy less. Everything we buy becomes waste sooner or later.
