Cloud

1000 used detergent bottles

It's raining plastic! In 2016, research was conducted in Paris for the first time on "precipitation" of microplastics. There is more precipitation of microplastics during a rainstorm than during dry weather. Most of the fibers probably come from textiles.

My first 'Cloud' hung in IJhorts in 2019 during the art tour 'Grensloos Kunstverkennen' and at that time consisted of over 600 white laundry and detergent bottles, collected over the years with the help of family, friends and strangers. For the 2019 Grensloos Kunstverkennen exhibition, residents of De Wijk and IJhorst also collected their plastic detergent bottles.

Wolk also hung at the Haagse Hogeschool during a sustainable fashion show that same year.
2022, Wolk could be seen during WASTELAND at The Grey Space at The Middle in The Hague.
2023, Wolk had grown to 888 bottles and hung in the Gasunie headquarters in Groningen.
