Women must be good mothers, equal partners in conversation, eternal lovers, and, if possible, successful businesswomen.
Men must be good fathers, equal partners in conversation, eternal lovers, and, if possible, successful businessmen.
But why?
Ultimately, we are here to achieve something together, and because of that, we are all different. Being different also means that we can't all be good at everything. There are successful businesswomen who are equal conversational partners but not such good mothers.
There are good fathers who are successful businessmen but not equal conversational partners. Shouldn't we simply accept that to be happy, we don't need to set such absurd expectations? Not just for ourselves, but also for others.
This means accepting that others may fall short because you know that you do too sometimes. Happiness begins with loving others more than yourself. And then, in my opinion, you are a complete person.
