Site specific sculpture for San Jose Museum. I wanted to take advantage of the high ceilings in the lobby and create sculpture that would interact with the whole space.
During the beginning of the Iraq war, I started to see beautiful and majestic images of Islamic architecture that were unfamiliar to me. I am not interested in making political work but I do not deny the influence that current events have on all artists' work. This iconic sculpture of mine has been shown in numrerous places and engages audiences of all ages because of ints multiple interpretations.
