Cornelia Konrads, a German artist, born in 1957, lives and works in a small village near Hanover. Her work is inspired by the forms present in the landscape, twisting them to reveal their poetic, comical or mysterious side. Her interest lies in creating unstable moments, spaces of uncertainty that defy the laws of gravity and construction..

For the Domaine de La Garenne Lemot, she is extending the ambition of François-FrĂ©dĂ©ric Lemot, who created this park in the 19th century. Drawing inspiration from or hijacking existing sculptures, she creates strange stories that plunge visitors into a surreal world. As soon as you enter the park, HippomĂšne and Atalante play an unusual game, setting the tone for the works scattered around. There‘s a bench torn from the ground, a tumult of columns, a magical dance of Clissonnais colonnades that create a mysterious world hidden behind this park of statues reminiscent of the Antique style.
