THE ALTAR

New sculpture I did during my staying at Cooper Leg Art Residency in Vaskjala, Estonia.

The structure is inspired by vast variety of Estonian beings, deities and legendary heroes. Researching about it and knowing that most of their land is covered by nature and forests created in my mind an idyllic place where magic still exists.

All this inspired me to create an altar - a monument for modern society. A place of worship for civilisation focused on its imaginative, abstract world of manufactured needs.
