THREE RIVER STONES, Version IV

Work cycle: River Stones.

THREE RIVER STONES, VERSIONS I – IV, 2002 ongoing
Leitmotif that has buoyed my imagination through many years is my passion for biomorphic forms inspired by nature. The form of river stones is expression of the balance between inner resistance and outer influences. Exactly this makes them to a perfect metaphor of human being.
THREE RIVER STONES. The fascinating of a triptych are the distances: they define the sculpture as well as they influence the perception of the viewer. The corresponding pieces can seem to be engrossed in a tender communication. Fresh impressions come on subsequent viewings, formed by the ambience and the viewer’s observation, relationship, distance and mood.

Media: Steel reinforcing mesh – cut, bent and with several layers welded on top of each other.
