Julia Fedorova

Julia Fedorova is a botanical artist and sculptor based in New York and the creator of Flower Engineering — an artistic method centered on the study and construction of botanical form across materials.

Her practice, Flowers Across Media, explores the flower through sculpture, material, structure, light, texture, and movement. Working across media, Julia investigates how the same botanical subject changes as it moves from one material language to another.

Her practice grew from more than a decade of highly detailed botanical work in sugar, where she developed an extensive understanding of floral structure, construction, fragility, color, and movement. This foundation now expands into polymer clay, ceramics, metal, glass, and light.
