A work of art is a statement. Nevertheless doubt clings to it.

Fundamentally, a sculpture derives a significant part of its impact from the space, the environment in which it stands.

Precisely because my sculptures seem to defy gravity weight and counterweight must be precisely balanced.

Sculptures actively intervene in the space. The artistic exploration aims to create the greatest possible tension between the single compositional elements.

A more vivid effect than that of a naturalistic reproduction might be attributed to the anti-naturalistic form of our inner picture of the visible world as her hieroglyph.

What evokes this skeletal figure: the image of a reclining figure, or of a weapon?

The sculpture serves as a connecting link, a joint, or a hub, linking all the elements in such a way that each is both derivation and continuation.

When I upcycle, I transform the actual remnants of our throwaway society into precious sculptures.

The constructive structures of my sculptures evolve in a process that balances chance and deliberate placement.

A sculpture receives a significant part of its impact from environment, connecting to it and expanding it.

Within this reference system it reveals itself and becomes comprehensible.

This also applies to a location and to defining elements such as architecture and nature: a sculpture makes space perceptible, activates it, demonstrates its character. Art not only incorporates this, it intensifes expression and even amplifies it.

My aim is an overall effect in which the site and the sculpture work together, with the sculpture functioning as a  link, connecting all elements in such a way that one is both derived from the other and continued by the other.
