Willi Reiche
Willi Reiche has been artistically active since 1982; since 1998 he has devoted himself exclusively to kinetic art or the construction of art machines, which are characterised in particular by aesthetics and humour. Another important aspect for Reiche is sustainability; in the sense of upcycling, he uses discarded things and materials that are given a new appreciation when staged in an extraordinary way.
Since May 2017, Willi Reiche has been presenting a variety of his kinetic works in his Kunstmaschinenhalle (www.kunstmaschinenhalle.de) above the town of Remagen. Unusual art in just such a place ...
Since the end of 1998, Reiche has devoted himself exclusively to kinetic art and creates art machines that are driven by motors, wind, gravity or interactively by muscle power. His kinetic objects are characterised by a humorous, playful and light nature as well as a high degree of aesthetics. Viewers are inevitably drawn into the discovery of familiar objects in a completely new context.
