Sounds

Originally created as ‘Sounds’ from the series ‘The Audience’ created in 2017 for the exhibition ‘Cupola’ commissioned by The Cartwright Hall Museum and Gallery, Bradford.

The exhibition 'Cupola' ran for 8 months as part of the events to celebrate the 250th anniversary in 2018. The centre piece of the exhibition was my costumed performance characters and the audience was represented around the gallery walls with panels of ears listening, hands clapping and faces reacting. I matched the sculpture panels to the marble walls of the gallery by incorporating marble filler into the resin so that the audience would look like part of the gallery.
