Albert, the holy ghost

3 works about jazz’s holy trinity

"Albert, the holy ghost", 2026, forged steel with clear varnish - red.

Dedicated to Albert Ayler, for his creativity, improvisations...and way to squeeze out the sax.

The three works for this edition of JAZZART 2026 Exhibition, organized by the Liz Vallet Cultural Association in Alicante, Spain, are conceived as a tribute to John Coltrane, Albert Ayler, and Pharoah Sanders. Three giants of jazz, above all for their boundless capacity to transcend styles, break down established structures and hierarchies, and be absolutely freeform! The titles reference a quote from Ayler about Coltrane's album Meditations: “Trane was the Father, Pharoah was the Son, I was the Holy Ghost.”
