Pharoah, the son

3 works about jazz’s holy trinity

"Pharoah, the son", 2026, copper & stainless steel, abstract/organic sculpture.

Dedicated to Pharoah Sanders, transcending his life Jazz in its limits, uniting all different cosmic, mystic, spiritual vibes in a peaceful mode. The three works for this edition of JAZZART 2026 Exhibition, organized by the Liz Vallet Cultural Association in Alicante, Spain, are conceived as a tribute to John Coltrane, Albert Ayler, and Pharoah Sanders. Three giants of jazz, above all for their boundless capacity to transcend styles, break down established structures and hierarchies, and be absolutely freeform!

The titles reference a quote from Ayler about Coltrane's album Meditations: “Trane was the Father, Pharoah was the Son, I was the Holy Ghost.”
