Visitors are invited into a fantasy world of color, light and sound, celebrating the beautiful life cycle of butterflies.
They are also invited to participate: by looking into the floor mirror, they perceive themselves as participants, and through the "whale" – which translates sounds into melodies – they can also actively participate.
The Cube is part of my sequence on the topic of the environment, with which I want to encourage greater mindfulness – in this case, towards the world of butterflies.
Outside: - Cube completely wrapped in black fabric - A narrow entrance Inside: 100x100cm floor mirror, Butterfly installation entirely crocheted: 3 XXL butterfly caterpillars lying on the mirror 3 white XXL butterflies hanging above, connected to the mirror by 3 colorful, palm-sized butterfly chains, several white flowers scattered throughout the room Technology: Changing lighting, gentle air movement by fans, the scent of grass and flowers, sounds indirectly created by the visitor through the "whale"
