„Erde, ist es nicht das, was du willst, unsichtbar
in uns erstehen? – Ist dein Traum nicht,
einmal unsichtbar zu sein? – Erde! Unsichtbar!
Was, wenn Verwandlung nicht, ist dein drängender Auftrag?“
— Duineser Elegien, Rainer Maria Rilke
Artistic dance is aerial painting.
Fleeting.
A body sculpture moving within the parameters of energy, space and time.
The creation of my sculptures is based on these parameters of artistic dance.
My working material is marble from various countries. The beauty of marble as a glittering natural stone, its individual color varations, its vibrant grain and its translucency never cease to fascinate me.
The focus is on the search for the aesthetics, the breath and the liveliness of surfaces, edges and notches.
For me, as a dance and performance artist, creating timeless, artistically enduring sculptures is a passion. Both activities are based on a meaningful vision that fulfills me.
Whether in dance-like movement or carved in stone, I am interested in polar energetic spatial directions and movement qualities such as powerful – gently, oscillating – resting, centered towards the middle – directed outwards, flowing inwards – striving upwards.
