Nord Art
Nord Art - cosmopolitan north
It is the largest art exhibition in Northern Europe and takes place in an unusual setting. Nord Art is the contemporary panorama of international art, which is re-conceptualised annually as a total work of art. More than 200 selected artists from all over the world show their paintings, photographs, videos, sculptures and installations, which not only speak for themselves, but also develop new perspectives in interaction with and against the unique backdrop of the Büdelsdorf Carlshütte. Nord Art is organised by KiC - Kunst in der Carlshütte, the non-profit initiative of the ACO Group and the towns of Büdelsdorf and Rendsburg. Since 1999, the 22,000 square metre aisles of the old foundry, which was founded in 1827 and closed down in 1997, have provided a distinctive venue for art, complemented by a 60,000 square metre sculpture park, the ACO Wagenremise and the Alte Meierei, which is used as an exhibition café.
