Manfred Hellweger

Manfred Hellweger (*1986) is a freelance Austrian sculptor and lives in Pettneu am Arlberg.

His sculptures are made of wood, stone and metal.
The focus in Hellweger's work lies in the stylized representation of the human body, as well as organic and geometric forms.
Wooden boards, veneers, strips and cubes are connected to one another using complicated gluing techniques.
Likewise, commercially available wire pins, wagner pins, round tubes and square tubes, connected by welding points, combine to create new structures and shapes.
The vertical arrangement gives the sculptures a dynamically flowing appearance that seems to dissolve towards the bottom.
