IMAN ISSA: SURROGATES

The sculptural and installation works of the Egyptian artist Iman Issa (*1979 Cairo) refer to historical and contemporary cultural heritage, such as monuments and their social and political imprint. She translates historical as well as contemporary aspects into a new visual language with manifold levels of meaning.
