Call for art in construction Rémire-Montjoly

Art in the context of the construction of the "Pôle opérationnel de Degrad des Cannes". (Offices, workshops and hangars of the state agencies associated with the sea in French Guiana) in Rémire-Montjoly.

Between the Mahury River and Route des Plages, near the large seaport of Dégrad des Cannes, in the town of Rémire-Montjoly, is the operational centre of the state services in French Guiana. 

Call for ground or facade artworks accessible to all: entrance to the main building, facades of the technical building, traffic routes, outdoor landscape areas of the buildings. 

One or more original works, possibly corresponding to one another, are expected, inspired by the history and "spirit" of the place. 

All means of plastic and visual expression of contemporary art (except for works that require too expensive maintenance or the use of sound or video). The work must take into account and respect the environmental ambitions of the construction project (environmental sobriety, re-employment, cohesion with the surrounding natural environments). The work must meet the following requirements: solidity, durability, maintenance and simple and not expensive operation.

Budget 140 000€ The 2 non contracted candidates will receive 7000€ each.
