Art Sanctuary Open Call - 'The Enchanted Garden 2024'

Art Sanctuary has launched an OPEN CALL to integrate artists of all art expressions, - including sculpture, poetry, music, dance and, why not, theatre - into 'The Enchanted Garden 2024' (Friday 28 June - Sunday 13 October 2024).

We kindly invite you to submit a proposal to participate in the international sculpture event 'The Enchanted Garden 2024' in Jodoigne, Belgium. It integrates sculptures with other artistic expressions, such as poetry, music, dance and why not theatre?

We will publish a book of poems with photos of the sculptures as a catalogue.

During the summer of 2024 (Friday 28 June – Sunday 13 October 2024), 'The Enchanted Garden' will take place for the 11th time in a structured, natural sculpture garden with water, contrasts, and surprises galore.
It is located in Belgium, on the language border between Jodoigne, Hoegaarden and Tienen; halfway between Brussels, Liège, and Namur and on the 'RAVEL' cycle path connecting Leuven, Tienen, Hoegaarden, Jodoigne and Namur.

We have chosen 'Water and fire' as the working title.

You will find all the details on our website (mobile update in process) www.the-enchanted-garden.info in three languages and also on www.facebook.com/SanctuaryArt, ... About a hundred websites support this exhibition.

Information for sculptors: During the exhibition the sculptures are presented outside in the garden. We advise buyers to put small sculptures inside during the winter. Many of the works are bought for indoor display. We like sculptures that combine different materials. We specialise in glass art (+/-50% of the sculptures).

Information for poets: We ask you to create new poems that communicate with the works in the garden. After selection, about fifty poems and pictures of the artworks will be published in a book of poems. In 2023, we printed, sold, or distributed three hundred books of poems during the exhibition. We also print a selection of the poems on glass panels and place them next to the works (the poem 'communicates' with the work!).

We also want to organise performances, in the form of 'Walking recitals' with musicians, poets, ... at least once a month during the opening hours of the exhibition.

We invite you to send photos of proposed sculptures or your proposal to collaborate to Ignace Clarysse, - organiser, email info@ignace-clarysse.com, - before Friday 01 March 2024.

Also mention the availability of your artwork during this season.
