ANTONI VILA CASAS SCULPTURE PRIZE 2024

Since its foundation in 1998, Fundació Vila Casas in Barcelona has set itself the aim of promoting contemporary artists and the dissemination of their work.

To this end, we currently run annual competitions for Contemporary Painting, Photography and Sculpture Prizes, alternating each year between the disciplines. This initiative helps us promote and shine a light on the most recently created art while also increasing the breadth of our art collection.

In 2024, the foundation will hold the Sculpture Prize and, in homage to their founding president, Antoni Vila Casas, from now on the awards will be known as the Antoni Vila Casas Prizes.

1. Contestants
Any artist who is over eighteen years old and born, or resident, in Catalonia may enter the competition. The artwork must be original, must not have previously been publicly exhibited, nor won any other competition. Participation in this competition supposes the acceptance of the conditions outlined herein and of the judges’ decision.

2. Theme
The theme is open.

3. Submission of works
In order for the artists’ works to be viewed, and potentially selected, by the judging panel, contestants must register at the webpage http://premis.fundaciovilacasas.com between 8th January and 11th February 2024. As outlined on the webpage, contestants must complete the corresponding form, provide the artist’s CV, the technical specifications and a brief description of the work, and an image of the work with a resolution of 300 dpi in TIFF format with a minimum size of 5Mb and a maximum size of 100Mb.
