POLICY PLAN
In 1991 the first exhibition of contemporary sculpture took place in Sculpture Park Klein Engendaal in the newly created sculpture garden. Many exhibitions followed in the years that followed and in 1996 the art foundation HazArt was founded. As of September 2008, the HazArt art foundation is a recognized Cultural ANBI ( General Nut Progressive Institution ). The sculpture garden is open to the public five days a week and is free to access; the indoor exhibitions are also accessible free of charge. Kunststichting HazArt uses volunteers for the maintenance of the sculpture garden, for placing or removing images and for providing guided tours. Volunteers are also used for openings. The Art Foundation also seeks to connect with other cultural institutions and regularly collaborates with a.o.the SLAS ( Literary Activities Foundation Soest ), Art Central, IdeaCulture and the local Culture Platform.

EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS AT HAZART

For many years, students from primary schools in Soest visited the sculpture garden in the summer for an art project entitled 'Who lives and works where ...'. Not only did this collaborative project of KunstCentraal and IdeaCultuur bring students into contact with visual arts, but the 7- and 8-year-olds also produced a work of art on location. This then remained exhibited for three weeks in the sculpture garden.
Unfortunately, the school project related to corona was canceled before 2020 and also before 2021.
