ORION

An installation at the Palmer Sculpture Biennial. I oriented a version of the constellation Orion at 56 degrees northwest to follow the movement into the northern hemisphere. In this primeval landscape as with many ancient civilisations, Orion was very important as the home of the gods and a guide to navigation. Aboriginal poeple passed though this place for over 60,000 years and left nothing but footprints.
