Not long ago, we regularly saw deer in the nearby forest. Such a beautiful sight: those slender yet muscular animals, with their large eyes, shy and proud. I miss them.
Hence this design of the ‘Herbivore’. I thought: a deer only eats plants, and that makes the animal so delicious that we want it on our plate as game. Game doesn't taste as good to me now.
For my design, I wanted to use the silhouette of the deer to show how powerful and cuddly the animal looks. In the openwork of the steel, you can see the leaves and flowers that deer love. The shape of the base plate is reminiscent of a clearing in the forest.
The ‘Herbivore’ is water-cut from Corten steel. The large version is 175 cm high.
There is also a smaller version: 75 cm high.
