Cintha van Heeswijck owned her credits the past 18 years as founder and director of ARTZUID, the Amsterdam Sculpture Biennale. She has worked with over 500 international renowned and young talented sculptors during that period. She is editor in chief of Beeldenmagazine, a quarterly magazine about sculpture in the Netherlands and Belgium. She breaths sculpture and has an entrepreneurial mindset, all with the goal to enhance the position of sculptors and to raise awareness of the impact that their work has on society as a whole. Van Heeswijck was awarded the Europa Nostra Award in 2011 by the European Commission for the educational program of ARTZUID, and in 2025 by King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands as Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau for revitalizing cultural heritage sites with sculpture and her unwavering commitment to culture in general. She joined Sculpture Network as a member in 2011 and is a board member as of November 2025.
