This work had a few variations. Currently 5 items hang in the sculpture garden of Hazart in Soest as part of an outdoor exhibition of 15 members of the Dutch Associaction of Sculptors.Â
I made an assemblage artwork of existing pieces of wood and metal/copper pieces. I love the universal shape and timeless 'beauty' of the old 'pots and pans', often discarded as we no longer use them in favour of plastic/stainless metal. The new shapes are 'organic' (hence: tree fruits) and have a new, but universal shape.
I hope that these objects will find their way in gardens and gradually erode (the metals) in harmony with nature.
