War scene, the last encounter between two wounded soldiers.Â
The seriously wounded man lying down is dying. The lightly wounded man with graze wounds recognises the madness of war: "Oh, what have I done?" and at the same time sees in the dying man a human being like you and me. He pays his last respects by blessing him.
The weapon lies discarded between them.
Humanity that remains.
