DIALOGUE | Art as a bridge between cultures

CSR.ART presents its last exhibition at the Friedrichstraße location from 2 August 2024 (opening 01.08.): ‘DIALOG. Art as a bridge between cultures.’

The group exhibition brings together around 20 artistic positions from eleven different countries. The exhibition concept focuses on dialogue - in art-scientific terms: dialogical aesthetics.

Dialogic aesthetics sees dialogue as the focus of artistic practice and reception. It sees art as a medium that can build cultural bridges, promote social interaction and initiate political change. By emphasising interaction, cultural exchange and reciprocal, rather than hierarchical, relationships between artists and viewers, dialogue aesthetics helps to create a deeper understanding and stronger connection between different cultures and societies. Especially in times of global crisis, art should act as a medium to bridge cultural differences and emphasise common human experiences.

‘DIALOGUE. Art as a bridge between cultures’ opens with a vernissage on Thursday, 1 August 2024 from 5 pm at CSR.ART.
